Some folks seem so cranky just because we're getting a new president. I don't get it. The pendulum swings back and forth. Haven't you gotten used to that by now? I mean, now it's on the back ... or is it the forth? Regardless, it will be back or forth again soon enough. Just chill and unknot your knickers. 
Today I worked from 7:45 a.m. to 6 p.m. without a break. I ate lunch at my desk. It just seems like there's so much to get done and not enough time to do it.
I saw previews for the new X-Men movie either last weekend or the one before. It was in some movie we went to see. Anyway, they're finally doing the movie I want to see, the one they alluded to in the first movie about how Logan got his skeleton of crazy metal. In the first movie, they just showed a few of his flashbacks, but it looks like now we'll get the whole store. And since I don't read the comics and only watch the movies, I am looking forward to it. One of my comic book fanboy friends explained the whole story to me one time, but it wasn't quite the same as getting to see it ... with Hugh, of course.
There are two different illnesses going around these parts: one is gastro-related and one appears to be the cold from hell. So far I haven't gotten either, but I fear them. My bestie has been home from work now three days with the latter and says she feels like dirt. She is scheduled to be off tomorrow, so I hope she feels better by Monday.
